Services in times of Corona

  • The opening hours of the faculty library have changed as a result of the UGent Corona security measures.
  • From 17 August, the faculty library will be open every weekday from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm.
  • A maximum of 5 visitors will be admitted at the same time to consult the collection.
  • Studying in the library is currently NOT possible.
  • Students and researchers can request scans of journal articles and chapters from books via lib.ugent.be.
  • You can also borrow books by appointment via ebib@ugent.be.
  • Books can be returned in the return box at the door of the faculty library from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. or to the Book Tower (check opening hours), Sint-Hubertusstraat 8.

 

Databases online
Make sure you are always connected to UGentNet to gain access.
  • Bel-first: go to athena, search for the Bel-First app, click on the icon.
  • Orbis Europe: go to athena, search for the Orbis app, click on the icon.
  • Eikon: request your login details at .
  • Jura and Jurisquare: go to athena, open a browser, surf to lib.ugent.be and use the search bar to search for 'Jura' or 'Jurisquare'.
  • Monkey: go to athena, open a browser and go to monKEY.
  • Stradalex: request your login details at .
  • Zephyr: go to athena,  open a browser, surf to Zephyr.  You don't need a login and password. Please log out at the end of the session using the button in the top right corner of the screen. If you don't log out, the session will continue and no one else will have access!
Please note that only a limited number of users can log in at the same time. Wait a few minutes and try again.

E-books

  • Many publishers are making their e-book files freely available.

  • Make sure you are always connected to UGentNet to gain access.
  • These temporary resources are kept up-to-date under Search academic resources in corona times.
