(13-10-2023) The Eureast Platform welcomes applications for its biennial visiting fellowship programme tailored for doctoral-level scholars affiliated with a higher education or research institution in a country within the Eureast Platform's regional scope.
The Eureast Platform welcomes applications for its biennial visiting fellowship programme tailored for doctoral-level scholars affiliated with a higher education or research institution in a country within the Eureast Platform's regional scope.
In the forthcoming 2024-2025 cycle, the Eureast Platform will host minimum 13 visiting fellows from the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Scholars at risk from Belarus and Russia residing in Europe are also welcome to apply. The successful applicants will be given an office space and access to facilities (such as the library) as a Ghent University visiting scholar.
Awardees will have the chance to spend a research stay of minimum one month and maximum three months in order to collaborate with Ghent University’s scholars and to expand their academic network. Awardees are expected to be physically present on campus, to take part in its academic activities and to contribute to its intellectual community. Visiting scholars will be invited to deliver at least one lecture or seminar to fellow researchers and students. Hence, proficiency in English is a requisite for all applicants.
