Alexander Heerinckx is currently pursuing his Master's degree in New Media & Society at the University of Ghent. With a keen interest in the intersection of technology and society, Alexander has embarked on an internship journey at imec-mict-UGent, where he is actively engaged in the Solid4Media project.

Within the Solid4Media project, Alexander's focus lies on examining the User Interface & Quality of Experience of Solid applications via prototyping and Figma. Through his internship, Alexander aims to contribute valuable insights to the ongoing development of Solid applications, exploring how user interfaces can enhance the overall quality of user experience.

In tandem with his internship responsibilities, Alexander is conducting research for his Master's thesis. From of a profound passion for technology and innovation, his thesis delves into the adoption potential of a new SVOD streaming platform for Esports. Employing established models such as UTAUT2 and the PSAP method, Alexander seeks to understand the adoption potential and the factors influencing user acceptance of this new platform.

Last, but certainly not least, Alexander is also involved in a group project centered around Telenet The Park, the leading VR company in Belgium. This project offers Alexander and his colleagues the opportunity to apply their academic expertise to help Telenet The Park solve their challenges for the future.
