Amber Aspeslagh started her internship in February at the research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies at Ghent University, as part of obtaining her Master's degree in communication science. Her thesis focusses on instructional design in virtual reality (VR) learning environments for assembly tasks and what its implications are on user experience (UX). She holds a Bachelor's degree in digital design and development (Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen) where she obtained the skillset to develop creative technical solutions from scratch. Her Bachelor’s thesis focused on Augmented Realty for photographical use.
During her internship, she will support research activities on adaptive nudging in VR professional trainings in collaboration with Jonas De Bruyne as part of the TETRA project ExperienceTwin under the supervision of Prof. dr. Klaas Bombeke (Department of Communication Sciences).  Additionally, she will establish a virtual reality learning environment as part of her experimental framework for her thesis.
