Aleksandra Zheleva is a junior researcher at the research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies at Ghent University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (University of Malta) and a Research Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science at Radboud University, Nijmegen. Her master thesis investigated what factors make consumers more likely to use augmented reality technology in the future.

In October 2019, she started working as a junior researcher at Ghent University. At present, she is working on the ILLUMINATE project where she is supervised by Prof. dr. Lieven de Marez (Department of Communication Sciences) and dr. Wouter Durnez (Department of Communication Sciences). Currently, one of the project’s aims that Aleksandra is working towards is to develop and test a quality of experience (QoE) framework for virtual reality (VR).
