Giulia is a junior researcher at the research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies at Ghent University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences (Ghent University) and a Master’s degree in New Media and Society (Ghent University). During her Master's, Giulia did an internship as a Research Assistant at imec-mict-UGent where she mainly focused on participant management in the On/Off research, as part of the DISCONNECT project. In September 2023, Giulia started working as a doctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. dr. Ralf De Wolf. Her PhD focuses on AI in the public domain. More specifically, on privacy, surveillance and norms in data-driven tech.
