Manon Hoedt is a junior researcher at the research group for Media, Innovation and Communication Technologies at Ghent University since October 2023. She holds a Master of Science in Sociology (Ghent University, 2021) with a major in health and demographics. For her Master’s thesis, she investigated romantic partner preference. In June 2023, she also obtained a Master of Science in Complimentary Economics (Ghent University) in which she performed an economic analysis of the prevention and promotion of mental health.
In her PhD, under supervision of Prof. dr. Koen Ponnet, Manon will conduct quantitative research on the prevalence, and the risk and protective factors of regulatory problems of children younger than three focusing on the ecological system around the child. Her PhD is part of a FWO-SBO collaboration with the Antwerp University and the Catholic University of Leuven.
