• you can borrow headphones and certain bank card readers at the circulation desk
• printing, copying and scanning: scans are free, prints and copies require payment

Consult, borrow and reserve books and journals

• our library is open to everyone. All items (with the exception of confidential content) are available for consultation
• Ghent University Library maintains 5 guiding principles
• only registered patrons may borrow library items. The loan period can be renewed three times, unless a loan currently in your possession has expired or if the item has been reserved by someone else in the meantime

Scan requests

• we will be happy to e-mail an article or chapter scan to our registered patrons
• you can find the request form on the page of the publication you seek at lib.ugent.be

Interlibrary loan (ILL)

• our ILL-service allows patrons to consult or borrow items from any library, both in Belgium and abroad
