Opening hours for the circulation desk

The opening hours of the study rooms are separate from our services at the circulation desk. For inquiries, borrowing books, reservations, returns, library staff is available at the following times:

  • Wednesday 11:00 - 17:00
  • Friday 11:00 - 15:00

Scans of articles and chapters can still be requested 24/7 via lib.ugent.be. And, of course, you can also return books via the return box, which you can find next to the library's entrance. See you soon!

Study room opening hours: stay informed automatically!

The study room on the first floor is regularly used for classes or other teaching activities. Would you like to know automatically when the study room is available? Then copy and paste the following link into your calendar app: https://cloud.timeedit.net/ugent/web/staff/ri69Z9y8Z8Y4Z1Q0QtQn76A4Z28Qu53dtQ088Zw566604QQu560ZF4AB61D9E18FDC368C9EBCC9F5.ics

For example:

  • In Google Calendar: Settings > Add calendar > From URL
  • In Outlook: Add calendar > Subscribe via internet

This link imports the next four weeks of activities to your own calendar and is updated automatically.

Note: during exam periods, the study room is almost continuously reserved as a study area, indicated by the designation "Infodag". If the study space is occupied, another designation will be used, such as "Training".

scanYes we scan!

Are you in urgent need of a particular chapter or article? Don’t worry!

First, have a look to see if the article is available online (e.g. via Google Scholar). If not, we’ll be happy to scan it for you. You can request any article, chapter, table of contents, index, glossary, bibliography, reference list, etc. from our print collection via lib.ugent.be.

Search the collections by the title of the journal or book. Then, click on ‘Request scanned article’ or ‘Get a chapter scanned’. The request form allows you to specify what you’re looking for exactly. We’ll deliver the PDF to you as soon as possible.

Prints, copies and scans

Students can only print, copy and scan with a UGent card on the public multifunctionals. These are located in the entrance hall (ground floor).

You can find all info and how-tos at ugent.be/student/en/ict/ict-services/print-copy-scan-documents.
