Category 5: Master's dissertation

Registration as a visiting student to work on your master's dissertation in the framework of a partnership agreement of your college or university with UGent.
Required documents
- Completed form agreement master's dissertation (only in Dutch: overeenkomst masterproef voor gaststudenten), signed by your promotor of the home institution where you are enrolled as a student (the sending institution), the UGent promotor and by you.
How to register
After registration
- The day after registration you will receive your UGent login for your UGent account by email. Some time later you will receive your student card by mail.
- Contact your faculty student administration - stating your UGent student number - that you will be working on your master's dissertation at the faculty.
- For a master's dissertation in collaboration with third parties (companies, non-profit organizations, etc.), you must enter into a standard agreement. More info can be found on the Master's dissertation page.
- If you become involved in an ongoing research project, you must sign a unilateral declaration of confidentiality and transfer of right. More info can be found on the Master's dissertation page.
Re-registering as a guest student
Send the document listed under 'Required documents' and a certificate of enrolment from your primary institution to gaststudent@ugent.be
