Call for participants: 'Bingewatching' for research

(09-08-2023)

Do you enjoy watching television series and are interested in 'bingewatching' for research? Then CJS-researcher Maxine De Wulf Helskens could really use your help!

For her PhD, she studies how journalism is represented in fiction series and what viewers think of those representations. This fall she's launching a study for which she's looking for people willing to watch one season of a series and give their opinions on it. This is what is expected of you:

  • Watch 1 season of 10 episodesBingewatching for research
  • Answer some questions online after each episode (no prior knowledge required)
  • 2 short online interviews: one before and after watching the season

That's it! And as a thank you, you get a free subscription to a streaming service of your choice for a month! You read that right: a study that doesn't require you to leave your couch and gets you a free subscription!

Interested? Don't hesitate and register. You can do so by scanning the QR code on the picture or by clicking here

No time to participate yourself, but do you know an acquaintance/friend/relative/pet who likes to watch television? Don't forget to let them know!
