Register now for the launch of 'De Kindwijzer': a guide for children and youth journalism

On February 1, 2024, NieuwsWijsNeuzen is launching "De Kindwijzer," a guide for children and youth journalism aimed at combating fake news and disinformation. The project, focused on making young people media-savvy, emphasizes the responsibility of journalists in providing reliable information. De Kindwijzer, an addition to “de code van de Raad voor de Journalistiek,” offers recommendations and tools for journalistic reporting tailored to children and youth, fostering trust and actively protecting them from misinformation.
The launch event is scheduled from 10 am to 1 pm at het Huis van de Journalist (VVJ) in Brussels, featuring a debate with Flemish Minister of Youth and Media Benjamin Dalle, CJS affiliated member Kristin Van Damme, and StampMedia's editor-in-chief Marjorie Blomme. Additionally, a workshop on journalism for children will take place on February 27, offering insights from “NOS jeugdjournaal” chief Sonja Verbaarschott. Registration for both events is required.
