Mario holds an international master’s degree in Marine Biological Resources from Ghent University (UGent) and is currently pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD affiliated with the Center for Sustainability Studies and the Marine Biology Research Group at UGent. His research, conducted in collaboration with Katrien Van Poeck, focuses on sustainability education in marine science within higher education.
