Dr. Hielke Van Doorslaer
Dr. Hielke Van Doorslaer was a PhD student and postdoctoral researcher at GIES. During this period, Hielke studied the post-crisis monetary policy, the effects of unconventional policies and the increasingly pivotal role inflation-targeting central banks have occupied in macroeconomic stabilization efforts since the 1970s. This culminated in his dissertation "Same as it never was? Monetary politics in an era of lowflation and pending climate crisis".
