Tian GAO is a PhD researcher at the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies, her research focus on EU-East Asia relations and major power relations in the Asia-Indo-Pacific. Tian holds a bachelor’s degree in Korean Studies and an M.A degree in International Relations at the University of Kent, Brussels School and International Studies. During her BA, she spent two years in Busan, South Korea under the framework of a school cooperation scholarship. For the doctorate programme, Tian researches China's foreign policy and its responses from the EU, India and Japan in the context of the One Belt One Road Initiative.
