Availability in the Homes and Residences
Ghent University has over 2,400 living units available for the entire university community.
Only if you have an affiliation with Ghent University, a living unit can be assigned to you.
There are living units for the following enrolment types: degree-seeking students, exchange students, Ph.D. students, staff, and visitors.
Depending on your type of enrolment, you can apply for a selected range of living units, regardless of your nationality or other specifications.
In case of a cancellation, we will automatically assign that housing unit to the application that is first of the waiting list.
Keep in mind that when a housing unit becomes available ànd there is NO waiting list of applicants for that type of enrolment, that unit can be offered to an applicant with another type of enrolment.

Students, enrolled for 27 ECTS points or more via a 'diplomacontract' at Ghent University (regular, locally enrolled students of Ghent University)

The 'Homes' in Ghent are FULLY BOOKED for the 1st semester, but you can still apply for the 2nd semester (05.02.2025-15.07.2025).
In 'Residence' B/Kot, in the city of Bruges, there is still availability (full academic year).
