Faculty Research Support Service

The service supports faculty research in a variety of ways. Building a good framework that grants maximum opportunities to researchers and provides opportunities to establish collaborations are at the heart of the service's various activities.

What we do

  • Creation and management of strategic collaborations
  • Support in faculty research branding (e.g. symposia, communications, roadshows)
  • Faculty implementation of UGent central framing (e.g. PhD practice interviews)
  • Services of the Commission for Scientific Research (CWO):
    • University opportunities, faculty scientific activities and
      internationalization initiatives mapped and brought to the attention of interested scientists
    • New institutional regulations around societal topics such as diversity, ethics and
      integrity to the attention of the researcher
    • Financial support for researchers wishing to gain a foreign experience
    • Financial support for publication in a top journal
