(22-05-2023) Prof. Sarah Verhulst was recently elected as a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA).

She received the title Fellow of the ASA for "contributions to computational modeling of the normal and impaired auditory system."

Fellow of the ASA - Eligibility

Fellow: Any Member or Associate who has rendered conspicuous service or made notable contributions to the advancement or diffusion of the knowledge of acoustics or the fostering of its practical applications shall be eligible for election to Fellowship in the Society. Fellows shall be elected by the Executive Council upon nomination by the Membership Committee, which shall consider and investigate all candidates for Fellowship recommended by Fellows and Members.

The purpose of the Acoustial Society of America is to generate, disseminate, and promote the knowledge and practical applications of acoustics. The membership of this Society shall be composed of the subscribers to its Constitution on the date of its organization and such other persons, corporations, or organizations as shall have been thereafter admitted to membership. The membership shall be classified as follows: Honorary Fellows, Fellows, Members, Associates, Student Members, and Sustaining Members.
