Sofie Verschraegen obtained her PhD

The title of her PhD thesis is "Sol-gel Design of (Organo)Silica Nanomaterials: from Molecular Control to Applications". 

This PhD research developed a predictive way to design advanced silica-based nanomaterials, using a combination of experiments and computer modeling. The nanomaterials show promise for sustainable resource recovery and next-generation electronics.
