TMaaS - Traffic Management as a Service

Traffic Management
Business Modelling

A lot of small and medium-sized cities around the world  want to get a grip on traffic and mobility. Building separate, traditional traffic management centres for all these cities is probably not the most feasible solution. The TMaaS project will therefore build a platform that offers citizens and local governments an efficient view of what is happening in their city in terms of multimodal mobility.

Over the course of three years, the TMaaS team’s ultimate goal is to build an on demand modular solution, where users can build a customised tool by subscribing services according  to their needs. In 2018 and 2019, thorough end-user research will be carried out into what information citizens need and how they prefer to view it. Citizens will have access to a dashboard that they can adapt to their preferences and where they can follow-up the mobility items of interest to them.

Traffic Management as a Service will be built on an open, modular data platform that facilitates the adaptation to new technological trends and innovations and creates opportunities for new partnerships.
