Felien obtained her Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology in 2024, specializing in Social Psychology. For her dissertation she developed an alternative way to test for implicit racial biases using interactive stories. During her Master’s she also completed a six-month research internship at the University of Surrey in England. Here she completed a pilot study concerning apologies and moral emotions as well as a meta-analysis and systematic review on the same topic. 

In 2026, Felien started as a teaching assistant for the Department of Communication Sciences. She assists courses in both the Bachelor of Communication Sciences and the Master in Communication Management. Felien’s PhD project focusses on communication surrounding sustainable and pro-environmental behaviour under supervision of prof. dr. Cauberghe and prof. dr. Van de Sompel
