Alexandra Berger

Alexandra Berger is a PhD researcher at the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIES). In the framework of her joint PhD, Alexandra is affiliated with UGent and with Europa-Universität Flensburg in Germany, where she also works as a research and teaching assistant. Her research focuses on the migration-development nexus in EU foreign policy. Prior to her doctoral studies, she obtained a Master's degree from Università di Pavia in Italy and holds a Bachelor's degree from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Aside from German, she is fluent in English, Spanish and Dutch and speaks some Italian.
