Student Counselling
Higher education at an academic level differs from secondary education in many ways: processing larger amounts of study material, learning to work more independently, getting used to new teaching methods, developing the right study method, making a good study plan, etc. Especially in the first year, this is a big adjustment and often a difficult search. The student counsellors can help you with this search.
Even as a senior student, you can also contact the student counsellors with questions about your study method or planning, or if you get stuck with your bachelor's or master's dissertation.
Information
On the Ufora page of the Student Counselling Service (in Dutch), the student counsellors announce all their activities and you will find useful documents such as brochures and planners.
Read up on specific information about:
- regaining credits of your study account lost due to force majeure (in Dutch) (due to illness, death in the family, …)
- filing an appeal against a refusal to enrol
Group offer
During the academic year, the student counsellors organise various workshops where you will receive practical tips on different aspects of studying. In the first weeks of the semester, we offer sessions on weekly planning, note-taking and diagramming. Later in the semester, there will be sessions on problems with studying, procrastination, concentration problems, and drawing up a revision schedule in the run-up to the exams. Register on the Ufora page of the Student Counselling Service (in Dutch) via Groepen (Groups).

You can make an appointment with the student counsellors for an individual consultation, either online or at the office:
