The university Housing Office rents out rooms, studios and flats. It caters to international students, staff and visitors. We also assist in finding a room on the private rented market.

Ghent University has a wide range of student restaurants, all situated in the vicinity of the faculties. Service and food are of a high quality, the prices are the lowest in town. You can alos find a plenty of possibilities for food and drinks in the city.

Kayaking for studentsGhent University boasts a fully-equipped sports centre, with three large and two small halls for indoor activities, a 25-meter swimming pool, an instruction pool, two saunas, and mch more! Special attention is devoted to sports for disabled students. The university also offers individual supporting services and counselling for students who are actively involved in top-class sports.

Some of the sports that can be pursued are: aerobics, aikido, basketball, bujutsu, cross fit, condition gym, badminton, running, diving, BBB, handball, hockey, jazz-dance, jogging in group, judo, karate, kayaking, korfball, mini-football, rugby, sailing, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, water polo, yoga, zumba etc.
