Restaurants and cafeterias

Sustainable weeks in UGent student restaurants and cafeterias
On 7 June our sustainable weeks start. In order to avoid food surplus we will empty our fridges during those weeks.
Therefore the menu can differ from the one presented on the website. Extra dishes will be presented in the counter.
NEW: "Vegetable of the day" and "Soup of the day": let us surprise you with a changing offer of vegetables and soup in the counter.
Changes to services from June 28, 2021
From June 28, resto de Brug evening, cafeteria Heymans and cafeteria Ledeganck will be closed for the summer recess.
Resto de Brug afternoon, resto Ardoyen and resto Sterre are open with a limited range of hot meals until 2 July. From 5 July only sandwiches, salad bowls, cold meals, soup, desserts and drinks will be available.
Cafeterias de Brug, UZ Gent, Coupure and Merelbeke will remain open with the current offer.

From July 19, 2021, all restaurants and cafeterias will close for three weeks. Soon more info about who reopened when in August and September.
Ordering online via our order form
From now on you will also be able to order your food online with same-day pick-up at a time and location of your choosing.
  • Please place your orders before 10AM for the noon service and before 5PM for the evening service
  • Take your order number to the restaurant and the customer flow will guide you to the pick-up point where an employee will give you your order.
Important: there are no separate pick-up points for online orders because we do not have the space to organize this extra customer flow in a safe manner.
  • To limit the queue-size we will no longer cap the amount of items one UGent card can buy. Contrary to before, we now wish encourage you to pick up both yours and your colleague’s breakfast or lunch. Either by ordering online and having one colleague pick up all your items, or by passing on your order to your colleague who can then bring it to you.
