In this CERISE lecture, Russian journalist and TV presenter Mikhail Fishman will delve into the history of modern Russian protests, spanning from the 2000s to the present day.
Mikhail Fishman, born in 1972, is an independent Russian journalist and TV presenter who has been covering Russian political affairs since the late 90s. He served as the editor-in-chief of the Russian Newsweek from 2008 to 2010 and later held the same position at The Moscow Times from 2015 to 2017.
Currently, he works as an anchor at TV Rain, a prominent Russian independent news network. Fishman is also the author of the bestselling biography "The Successor: The Story of Boris Nemtsov and the Country in Which He Didn’t Become President" (2022).
