The microwave

 

A microwave is a fine companion in the kitchen. Use it wisely.

Use it for defrosting, heating up small foods or leftovers.

Follow these instructions carefully:

DO NOT

  • Use metal cooking pots or dishes with metal rims or any metal twist ties.
  • Put metal cutlery in the microwave.
  • Fry with oil in the microwave. The oil may catch on fire.
  • Try and cook eggs in the microwave.

DO

  • Put a microwave plate cover over your dishes.
  • Remove any plastic store wraps if unsure if they are microwave save.
  • Poke holes in anything with skin like potatoes, apples or sausages. They will burst.
  • Stir any liquids before you heat them or they can erupt.
