During the Floraliën, GUM & Botanical Garden becomes a vibrant meeting place for plant lovers, urban gardeners and curious visitors.
Floraliën takes place every four years in Floraliënhal and Kuipke, but our Botanical Garden is also part of the flower festival. As always, admission to the Botanical Garden is free and there is plenty of extras on offer for ten days!
During the Floraliën, GUM & Botanical Garden becomes a vibrant meeting place for plant lovers, urban gardeners and curious visitors. The Ghent Botanical Garden, with more than 12.000 plants, takes you on an inspiring walk past micro greenhouses with the latest bedding plants. Along the way, you will get concrete ideas for any urban garden, right into the iconic Palmarium.
Especially for the Floraliën, the Palmarium is being transformed into a lush green oasis where new cultivars and innovative techniques for sustainable cultivation and monitoring take centre stage.
