A compelling talk by Professor Henrik Gréen
Professor Gréens’s research focuses on finding predictive markers and understanding how pharmaceuticals and recreational drugs yield desired and undesired effects in humans. His work also aims at gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms of action and toxicity of new psychoactive substances, drugs of abuse and cancer chemotherapy, including the setup of prediction models.
In addition, he investigates how post-mortem metabolomics combined with AI can be used to help to shed a light on the cause of death. His work has been published in major journals, including Analytical Chemistry, Archives of Toxicology and Nature Communications.
In this presentation, Professor Gréen will talk about the emergence of new psychoactive substances in Scandinavian countries, highlighting the work that is done at Linköping University to gain a better understanding of the pharmacology, as well as the metabolism, of these substances.
