Exceptional offer SOPL

The Housing Office of Ghent University manages approximately 2,200 units, which are divided into target groups based on type of enrolment (e.g., exchange students, locally enrolled students, degree students, PhD students, international staff, and visitors). This page lists all available housing units, including the target group for each unit. Only in case certain target groups have no waiting list, the available units will be offered to other applicants.

The rooms on this list are available for students in a VLIR-funded or Erasmus Mundus programme.

Rooms – Slim Option

9 .  R.SO.R7 - Residence BRO (UpRoom) (Ghent)

  • Address: Ebergiste de Deynestraat 15, Ghent, location: near campus University Hospital and Sterre 
  • Size of the room: 15m² 
  • Private bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. 
  • Standard furniture included (bed, cupboard, desk) photo’s** 
  • Target group*: Locally enrolled students
  • Slim Option: no mattress, sheets, blankets, pillow, towels or refrigerator included 
  • Rental price: AY 2025-2026: 
    • Agreements <12 months: €592/month 
    • Complete academic year: €550/month 

 

Studio Type – Slim Option

34 .  S2.SO.R7 - Residence BRO (UpComfort+ / UpStudio (1p.)) Comfort Room (Ghent)

  • Studio type 2: Single studio
  • Size of the room: min. 18m²
  • Kitchenette and private bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. 
  • Standard furniture included (Expected January 2026) photo’s** 
  • Target group*: Locally enrolled students 
  • Slim Option: no mattress, sheets, blankets, pillow or towels included 
  • Rental price: AY 2025-2026: 
    • Agreements <12 months: €720/month 
    • Complete academic year: €631/month

 

* In case certain units (without a waiting list for the designated target group) will be offered to other groups, the rent as well as the furniture offered may differ from regularly offered units. The units come as they are.
For example: locally enrolled students don't get bed sheets included in the unit (standard), but in case there's no waiting list, we will offer these rooms, still without bed sheets, to other groups (exchange students) although units allocated for these groups standard do come with this option. No sheets, beds, microwave-ovens, fridges... will be added or removed: the offer comes as it is.
