Interim Evaluation Horizon 2020: SSH recommendations by Ghent University

Horizon 2020 (H2020) is  an essential source of external funding for Ghent University – currently 27th on the list of Higher and Secondary Education Institutes (HES) regarding financial intake out of H2020. Until now Ghent University managed to get 129 H2020 research and innovation projects, amounting to circa 68 million euro and 20 additional positions for researchers.

Currently Horizon 2020 is under revision. This interim evaluation is part of the run-up to the Ninth Framework Programme, the successor to H2020.  Ghent University has been asked to provide input for this evaluation, especially with regards to improving collaboration between Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) scholars and Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) researchers.
