Ghent City Walk

Have you recently started a PhD? Are you new at Ghent University and not so familiar with the city? Are you interested in getting to know Ghent and your fellow PhD students?

Then come and explore Ghent with us!

At the end of the Introduction Day for new PhD students, on Thursday 7 February around 17h, the Ghent University PhD Community will organize a walking tour (± 1 hour) through the historic city centre of Ghent. We will guide you to the most impressive buildings and squares, through the cosiest streets and to some beautifully illuminated historical sites. Two parallel walking tours will be organized. A first one will start from Campus Aula (Voldersstraat 9, 9000 Gent) and a second one from Het Pand (Onderbergen 1, 9000 Gent). Depending on your afternoon programme, you can join one of the walking tours. Finally, we will gather in one of Ghent's most famous pubs and enjoy a typical Belgian treat!

Of course, if you are already familiar with Ghent and its historic centre you are also very welcome to join the walking tour and enjoy a drink in the company of your colleagues.
