Submitting your curriculum in Oasis: practical guide
First compose your curriculum and then submit it into Oasis.
Your curriculum must be submitted for approval in Oasis by 10 October at the latest.
To add or remove course units in your curriculum, log in to Oasis and follow these steps:
- Step 1: go to the left menu AY 2021-2022 and click on ‘Edit curriculum LW’
- Step 2: On your screen you will see at the top an overview of the study programmes for which you are enrolled at our faculty. Click on ‘curriculum’ on the right of the study programme for which you wish to submit the curriculum.
- Step 3: At the top you will see a tab ‘Edit this year’s curriculum’. You have to click on it to be able to edit the curriculum for the 2021-2022 academic year.
- Step 4: Oasis will already suggest a number of course units to follow. If you want to add courses (e.g. language, elective course unit, ...), click on the relevant category in the left-hand column under ‘Programme modules’ and add courses via ‘the green plus sign/add’ button.
- Important: The fact that certain course units can be added, does not necessarily mean that you have to include them: course units which, for example, appear for the first time in the study programme as a result of study programme revisions (and therefore also become available in your curriculum) obviously do not have to be included if they replace course units which you have completed in a previous version of the programme (and for which you have therefore obtained a credit). That is why you should first review all the information about your study programme and study programme revisions.
- Step 5: If all the course units you will follow in this academic year are included in your curriculum, click on ‘Save and close’ at the top. This is not yet the final step, you can return to it later if you wish.
- Step 6: If you are sure that the curriculum you entered in Oasis is correct, click on the button ‘Submit for approval’. This button only becomes visible once you have ticked the box in front of the relevant study programme.
- Step 7: When you have clicked on ‘Submit for approval’, you will see a comments field. This comments field serves to motivate a GIT application or to pass on other remarks to the Faculty Student Administration or the learning track counsellor. It is also at this point that you should list the codes and titles of the course units you want to follow but could not select due to study programme revisions.
- Step 8: After entering any comments, click on ‘Continue’ and from then on your curriculum is submitted (= from ‘draft’ status to ‘proposal’ status). You can no longer make any changes to it on Oasis!
If you still want to change something or if you still see a mistake after approval, you can contact the Faculty Student Administration (FSA) to ask for your curriculum to be redrafted. We would like to stress that this step is best avoided, so think carefully before submitting your curriculum for approval.
If you have any questions about composing your curriculum, please contact the learning track counsellor of your study programme.
After your curriculum has been approved, you still need to review and accept your curriculum in Oasis: tick your curriculum and click on the button ‘Accept curriculum’.
In accordance with Article 30§6 of the Education and Examination Code, you are entitled to appeal against this decision of the Curriculum Committee.
