Sscientific exchange addressing key topics and innovations in pediatric and adult critical care nephrology and pharmacology.
The Meet the Expert session will address urgent challenges in pediatric and adult critical care nephrology, bridging cutting-edge research and bedside application.
3 topics will be addressed:
- Acute kidney injury in pediatric liver failure – early detection, novel biomarkers, and life-saving management strategies (Prof Akash Deep - King’s College, London)
- Novel biomarkers of kidney function – innovative tools for improved diagnosis, risk stratification, and patient care (Dr Matthijs Oyaert - (UGent, UZ Ghent)
- Antibiotic dosing during renal replacement therapy (RRT) – practical guidance on therapeutic drug monitoring to optimize efficacy and minimize toxicity (Prof Jan De Waele - UGent, UZ Ghent)
These topics are at the forefront of research and innovation with major clinical and societal impact, aiming to improve survival, precision medicine, and personalized care for critically ill patients.
