Ghent University’s online career platform provides you with an overview of a wide range of company profiles, job vacancies and career events. Explore what’s on offer in order to get a feel for what is out there career-wise, and land your first job!

Note: change your Ghent University mail address to your personal mail address after registration (via 'account settings' in the user menu). This way, you'll maintain easy access to the Ghent Career Center after graduation.

Graduation fair

About to graduate and looking for a challenging first job or suitable further study options that may enhance your career prospects?

  • You will become better acquainted with the current job market as well as a wide range of further educational opportunities. HR professionals from over 200 companies and organisations, and staff of the partner institutions of Ghent University Association will happily answer all of your questions and give you practical career advice.
  • The 19th edition of the Afstudeerbeurs will take a hybrid form. CV analysis/career coaching and a part of the workshop programme will be organised online on Monday 28 March 2022. The job fairs, the Further Studies and Education Fair and interactive sessions will take place in the ICC Gent on Thursday 31 March 2022.

The Flemisch public employment agency

The VDAB is the public employment service of Flanders. The official language is Dutch. If you are allowed to live and work in Belgium, the VDAB can help you in many ways.

There are also three other public employment services:

  • ACTIRIS, responsible for the Brussels-Capital Region, official language: Dutch and French
  • Le FOREM, responsible for the Walloon Region, official language: French
  • ADG, responsible for the German Community, official language: German
