Dutch version.

  • High-speed internet connection by cable

  1. Connect your computer to an available network connection socket in your room, using a UTP cable (not a phone cable!)
Please note that all existing connections should be respected. Not all outlets are available, so try to connect to an available, marked network-outlet in the wall or on the Student Internet device.
Please do not remove existing connections! This will cause an intervention in your living unit.
If you don't have a UTP cable, you should buy one, these are not provided by the University.
  2. You can surf immediately to the portal site http://hotspot.studenteninternet.be
Please use your UGent login and password to connect and surf on the internet.
Please note the house rules, linked to the use of the internet.

Please note that if you do set up a VPN-connection, certain bandwidth limitations should be kept in mind!
