E-Books

The faculty library of bioscience engineering has access to a whole lot of e-books and e-book platforms. You need to be connected to the UGentNet to use these sources. you can do that by using a campus computer, or from home by setting up a VPN connection or by opening a browser in Athena.

You can find all e-books via our catalogue, lib.ugent.be. Below, you can find some highlights of this e-book collection, specifically for the faculty of bioscience engineering.

We also have access to the latest version of Economic Development by Michael Todaro. While most of our e-books are easy to access, this one takes a few extra steps. See the guide below to gain access to this e-book.

  1. Make sure you are connected to the UGentNet (via VPN-connection, by opening a browser in Athena, or by using a UGent computer).
  2. Click on the image of the cover below. Right-click to open in a new window.
  3. You are now in the library's catalogue. Click on the blue button "View online" / "Bekijk online".
  4. You are now on the home page of the platform. Click "Continue without account".
  5. Agree to the terms of us and the privacy policy.
  6. When you are done, you simply close the tab.
