Welcome at Ghent University for International Students

We, the International Support Team, give international students a warm welcome and help them before, during and after their arrival at Ghent University.

International students can contact us by mail, phone or make an appointment for a meeting at our office or an online meeting (Microsoft Teams). Find us here.

Welcoming students at the start of  UGent’s fall semester

We organize welcome sessions for new international degree and exchange students at the start of every semester.

Like all universities we had to adapt to the COVID-19 situation but we have decided to plan and organize Welcome Days in September 2021.

We will offer all international students the opportunity to meet the International Support Team after a general information session. You will receive practical information and we can walk through your next steps at the start of your stay in Ghent.

The Welcome days are planned from Wednesday 22 September till Friday 24 September 2021.

More information on the programme of the welcome day and also the registration link.
