Homes and Residences

Ghent University lets over 2,.200 furnished living units to the entire university community. As demand exceeds supply, priority rules and delineated lease terms are defined for the different types of accommodation.
Our housing units are reserved for certain categories of applicants. Depending on your affiliation, the duration and your application in OASIS, you will only find the contingents of living units available to you.
For exchange & enrolment (admission) programs, we make a distinction between stays for a full semester and stays for a full academic year stays (12 months, September till September).
For PhD, staff, visitors, ITP & a number of exchange programs (agreed by both home university and UGent) short term stays (half a month up to 6 months) are available.
The rental price depends on your type of enrolment, the duration of your stay and the type of living unit.
To apply for housing, you first have to follow the appropriate Ghent University enrolment procedure: after the completion of your digital pre-enrolment, you register for accommodation using the same procedure.
