About the building
Ufo (short for ‘Universiteitsforum’) opened in 2009 and is a striking building made of glass and concrete. Thanks to its central location and modern infrastructure, it is a suitable venue for both academic and external events.
Auditorium Leon De Meyer
The largest auditorium at Ghent University (995 seats), named after a former rector.
The auditorium is equipped with projection facilities and technical support is provided.

The foyer consists of two areas, separated by stairs:
- Ground floor: up to 991 people (1,754 m²)
- Lower level: up to 91 people (264 m²)
