Two expert talks on optimizing sports tournaments, covering scheduling, fairness, tournament formats, and insights from the FIFA World Cup.

This event will feature two presentations:

  • 'Scheduling sports tournaments with different court types' by Prof. Sigrid Knust (Universität Osnabrück),
  • 'How to design an optimal tournament: Insights from the FIFA World Cup' by Prof. László Csató (Corvinus University of Budapest).

While the seminar is open to everyone, we particularly encourage PhD students to attend.
