Can we mourn a glacier? This exhibition at RADIUS, Delft explores how art helps us respond to the loss of species, ecosystems, and landscapes.

How can art make room for grief over environmental destruction, and how mourning might inspire care, solidarity, and resistance.

Guest-curated by Professor Stef Craps (Ghent University), the expo features work by Allora and Calzadilla with Ted Chiang; Brandon Ballengée; Dominic Boyer, Cymene Howe, and Andri Snær Magnason; Marcus Coates; Marjolijn Dijkman; Raphaël Fischer-Dieskau; Eline Kersten; Katie Paterson; Maarten Vanden Eynde; Cecilia Vicuña; and Sara Vrugt.

Exhibits include a replica of the memorial plaque for Iceland’s lost Okjökull glacier, unveiled in 2019 during a “glacier funeral” that became a global media event.

The exhibition takes place at RADIUS, a centre for contemporary art and ecology housed in the former underground reservoir of Delft’s historic water tower. Everyone is welcome.
