Symposium preceding the public PhD defense of Saar Vermijs, in which jury member Dr. Gonzalo Maso Talou (University of Auckland) will give a talk.
A Meet The Expert symposium on virtual treatment planning, preceding the public PhD defense of Saar Vermijs, titled "Development of an Interactive Tool for Patient-Specific Surgical Treatment Planning in Kidney Cancer".
In the symposium, jury member Dr. Gonzalo Maso Talou from the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (University of Auckland, New Zealand) will talk about the interesting work they do in the Animus Laboratory, which specializes in modelling the integrated physiology of the brain from medical and experimental images.
This talk showcases two lines of research:
- AI-based image processing
- advances in neurodynamics modelling.
Following his talk, some of the colleagues from our university will give short presentations to enlighten us with their work regarding virtual treatment planning.
