At Campus Ufo along Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat, we are working hard to create a renewed environment. Discover the latest updates on construction and renovation plans here.

A new student centre and a lively student square (Studentenplein) are on the way. The Rectorate and its adjoining car park will undergo a thorough renovation.

In the Technicum, building T4 will receive a renewed interior and a new purpose.

Student centre

From the academic year 2025–2026, students can visit the brand-new student centre at Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat 51, right next to De Brug.

As a (prospective) student you can go here for study advice, support with internationalisation, student administration, social services, and student psychologists.

Student square (Studentenplein)

The square between the Ufo, De Brug and the Technicum will be redesigned. Two tree circles and seating benches will be added.

The works will take place from May until the end of 2025.

Rectorate car park becomes bicycle parking

The car park next to the Rectorate will be replaced by additional bicycle parking (for students, visitors and staff) and more green space.

The works will begin in 2025.

Rectorate renovation

Following the cycle hub works, the Rectorate itself will also be renovated.

Technicum: T4

After the renovation of T1 and T2, it is now T4's turn. This impressive building with a beautiful machine hall between Sint-Pietersnieuwstraat and the Muinkschelde will become the home for art and architecture students. The impressive machine hall will also regularly be open to visitors, within walking distance of De Vooruit and De Krook.

Construction will begin in 2027.
