Financial Support
There are several forms of financial support, each with their own conditions and eligibility criteria.
- Study grant for higher education of the Flemish government – Financial support from the Flemish authorities to ensure the acces to higher education.
- Advance on the Study grant from the Flemish authorities – Receive part of your study allowance in advance through UGent.
- Allowance for tuition costs – Additional financial support provided by the UGent Social Services.
- Borrow a laptop – Borrow a laptop temporarily in case of damage, theft, or financial difficulties.
- Exchange allowance – Financial support for students with limited means who go on an internship or exchange abroad.
- Advance scholarship for foreign internship or exchange – Receive part of your grant in advance through UGent.
- Reduction of tuition fees – Discounted tuition rate for students with a scholarship or near-scholarship status.
- Room priority at Ghent University – Priority in the allocation of UGent student accommodation.
- Priority scholarship for exchange outside Erasmus zone – Opportunity to receive a higher grant for mobility outside the Erasmus Zone.
